Pilgrim Singing Bowl grew from a long-standing cultural foundation. Rooted in over twenty years of dedication through our parent brand, we have been devoted to preserving and sharing Tibetan culture and Nepalese craftsmanship.

In 2018 we established Pilgrim Singing Bowl, extending that foundation into a sound-centred brand, where singing bowls are not merely instruments but a form of healing that belongs in modern life.

The founder, Birendra, a singing bowl therapist from Nepal, once lived with long-term insomnia and physical discomfort. In 2017 he returned to his hometown in Nepal to study traditional singing bowl technique and sound healing.

He has refined his practice every year since, learning from local artisans and national-level masters. The journey was never only about skill. It was about reshaping the rhythm of a life, and the state within it.

Through long hours of resonance and practice with the bowls, his body gradually relaxed, and his sleep steadily returned.

That experience settled into a conviction he still holds: sound carries a genuine and profound healing power.

Back in Taiwan, Birendra began sharing this experience with everyone who visited the space. Over years of teaching, we saw the same thing again and again. Many people had met singing bowls, yet lacked proper, complete guidance. From basic technique to the nature of sound itself, misconceptions were common.

So Pilgrim Singing Bowl built structured courses that guide students to a strong foundation, and to learning that stays true to authentic tradition.

Alongside the practice, we bring in musical expertise. Birendra's daughter, Hashana, graduated from National Sun Yat-sen University with a degree in Music, and completed a music therapy programme.

With absolute pitch and a deep sensitivity to sound, she composes singing bowl music, carrying musical structure and refined listening into the world of bowls, and turning sound into something layered, fluid, and expressive.

Our collection holds over 600 full-moon and therapeutic bowls across a wide range of sizes, frequencies, and uses. Every bowl in our space is chosen in person in Nepal by Hashana, judged for tone, frequency, and resonance, so quality stays stable and sound stays clear.
